Join this self-help and peer support for people with chronic pain. Topics we will cover:
- Learning to deal with pain in positive ways
- Regaining a sense of personal control
- Improving function and enhancing your quality of life
Offered with the support & resources of the American Chronic Pain Association.

Crohn’s & Colitis Support
3rd Monday of the month, 7-8:30 PM. No pre-registration required.
Crohn’s, Colitis, and Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) present an array of challenges; however, it does not mean it’s impossible to lead a happy and fulfilling life. Patients and their families are invited to join us to share and learn about what others are doing to maintain health and create a life of balance. Materials and resources are provided by the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America.
Note: We do not meet in December, January, June, or July.
Diabetic Education Class
4th Thursday of the month | 7-8:30 PM | No pre-registration required.
Our Certified Diabetic Educator for this group is Jan Hunter, RN, BSN, CDE
Research shows that managing blood glucose (sugar), blood pressure and cholesterol protects the health of a person with diabetes. Learning about diabetes, making good choices and working closely with health care professionals, helps to prevent or delay complications from diabetes.
Join us for this new program of diabetes education - and start a journey to living well with diabetes.

June 2019: All About Blood Glucose (Sugar)
July 2019 (3rd week this month): Lifestyle Changes and Caring for Diabetes
August 2019: Physical Activity

Managing diabetes requires knowledge, patience, and strength. While it isn’t easy, having a network of support with an influx of new information can be helpful. Learn from health care professionals on-site who will share information regarding the latest tips and developments as they pertain to the management of diabetes. This group is focused on your primary concerns, so feel free to drop in at any time to ask questions or share your insight. Led by Registered Dietitian Jan Wagner, who also brings her athletic training background to the discussion.

Steady U (A Matter of Balance): Preventing Falls…One Step at a Time
Coming in Fall 2019 (8 weeks). Pre-registration required.
Did you know falls are the leading cause of injury-related hospitalization and death among Ohioans aged 65 and older? Or that falls are NOT a normal part of aging? Most falls CAN be prevented! Join us for this workshop, presented in partnership with the Council on Aging. Learn to view falls and the fear of falling as controllable issues by setting realistic goals for increasing activity and changing your environment to reduce fall risk factors. This program is for you if the following applies: you do not do things you used to enjoy because you fear falling, you want to improve your flexibility, balance, and strength, you have fallen in the past, or you are concerned about falls. Dress comfortably for roughly 25 minutes of sitting/standing exercises that go along with this great educational program led by people just like you!
